About Joseph
Joseph Shanks is from Union City, Tennessee, and attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting with a focus in Finance. While attending the University of Tennessee, he served on the executive board of the Beta Sigma Chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.
After graduation, he obtained his juris doctorate with a certificate in federal income tax from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis.
Mr. Shanks is admitted to practice law in the State of Tennessee and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
Mr. Shanks primarily focuses on collections of retail and commercial accounts, repossession of secured assets, and preserving creditors’ rights. Mr. Shanks’s practice is also dedicated to prosecuting individual and class action civil rights cases along with mass tort cases across the country. Mr. Shanks has collected millions of dollars in debt and collateral for his clients.
In his free time, Mr. Shanks enjoys playing golf, hunting, and rooting for the Tennessee Volunteers.
